If you have strayed into this site, it means you want to find out (more) about corpora and how they can be used in language teaching and learning. This site is exactly where you want to be. It offers a free online course presenting multiple applications of corpora in language pedagogy.

Don’t be shy! This course assumes that you have had no, or very little earlier contact with corpora. It will lead you step by step through several freely-available databases and tools, teach you how to manipulate them and show to you different ways in which they can be applied in language instruction. It will also demonstrate how to build and analyse your own small corpora of lnguage varieties no one has ever thought of (such as furnitute catalogues) and how to exlpoit them in the production of classroom materials and activities.
